This program provides emerging and established artists from the classical, jazz, singer songwriter, folk, pop, electronic, and world music traditions with a period of focused time to concentrate on artistic development.

A six-month arts writing residency to develop curatorial and critical publications, and conduct research while engaging with programs and artists-in-residence in Visual + Digital Arts.
Curator in Residence 2018
A six-month curatorial residency to develop an exhibition or curatorial project, and conduct curatorial research while engaging with programs and artists-in-residence in Visual + Digital Arts.
The Evolving Book
This Visual + Digital Arts residency will focus on the creation, expanding notion, and role of artists’ books as a platform for contemporary art practice; whereby the book format generates (rather than indicates an end point of) the creative process.
Big Bang Residency Program
Artists, designers, architects, scientists, engineers, and other creative professionals are invited to submit proposals to create an interactive public art work to be premiered at Beakerhead 2018.
Concert in the 21st Century
This program examines the classical concert experience – what is essential and what is a convention? Participants will explore how musicians can position themselves better in society and attract more audience members.
Indigenous Women in Leadership
Examine the issues, challenges, and inequities that you as a woman face as you strive to fulfill the responsibilities of your job, meet the needs of your family members, and answer the demands of your community.
Foundations of Purpose
We each carry a singular and precious gift for the world, but too often it is hidden away, even from ourselves. Let that gift re-animate your life and work with provocation and guidance from master educators, artists, and fellow travellers.
Reconciliation and Right Relations
This program will create an understanding of the truth of our shared Canadian history, inspire participants to learn more about Indigenous ways of knowing, and move participants individually and organizationally into the act of reconciliation.
